On March 9, 2012, dott.ssa Antonietta Boninu and dott. Roberto Nardi presented at the Deutsches Archäologisches Institut in Rom the restoration of an outstanding set of Nuragic statues, found at Cabras (Oristano - Sardinia). The 1970s excavations of the funerary area of Mont'e Prama, Cabras (Oristano), resulted in the discovery of an extraordinary set of fragmentary statues in stone, representing archers, pugilists, warriors and architectural models of "nuraghe". After a long intervention of restoration and conservation, promoted by the Soprintendenza per i Beni Archeologici per le Province di Sassari e Nuoro, and carried out by the CCA, the fragments have been reassembled. This intervention allowed the reconstruction of thirty-eight sculptures, forming a unique set of exceptional archaeological importance. The conference “Conservazione del patrimonio archeologico. Restaurare e ricercare in Laboratorio. Le sculture di Mont'e Prama di Cabras (Oristano)” has shown the phases of the conservation project and the educational program devised for the general public.
